Special Investigation Service Director Saulius Urbanavičius explained at a National Security and Defense Committee meeting that the investigation into the leak of a State Security Department memo is not finished and may take half a year. He refused to specify what the officers on the investigation had done.

General Prosecutor Darius Valys has confirmed that a preliminary investigation is being carried out smoothly and actively, but has not revealed whether someone is under suspicion. Committee Chairman Artūras Paulauskas has further asserted that Presidential Adviser Daiva Ulbinaite is under suspicion and that he does not understand the delay.
