The Lithuanian Prime Minister believes that the investigation of State Security Department information leaks might be hindered by a lack of competence or attempts to protect the culprits

Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has said, expressing his hope that the truth will come out quickly, that in some cases of investigation, the authorities require a very quick decision about certain politicians or civil servants, while in other cases it is clear that the requirements are not so strict. It is here that he thinks a huge mistake is made.

The Prime Minister's comments apply to the ongoing investigation of State Security Department information leaks.
