Believing that forces against the referendum on the ban of the sale of land to foreigners are trying to create artificial barriers to the will of citizens, the Lithuanian Peasants and Green Union has expressed its deep concern about the impartiality of the work of the Central Electoral Commission. And so in the near future a decision will be made whether to appeal to the OSCE and other international election monitoring organizations for foreign observers to be sent to Lithuania.

Meanwhile, an activist collecting signatures in support of the referendum in America is reporting that some signatures of Lithuanians residing in the US were rejected by the CEC for errors made by the commission itself.
