The Lithuanian parliament's Budget and Finance Committee has agreed that from July of next year it will be possible to show ethnicity in Lithuanian passports

Ethnicity would be recorded only when a person wishes to do so. At the same time, the Committee agreed that ethnicity will not be recorded in ID cards, as it is purportedly technically unfeasible. Other parliamentary committees and the parliament itself still have to consider this issue.
