Loreta Grauziniene has said that the first referendum on a new nuclear power plant in Lithuania was an advisory referendum. She went on to explain that a part of activists who support the plant have decided that it is necessary to calculate and provide specific assessments and ask the nation again, and so the process goes on.

She concluded that this is already an issue for the government, and not the parliament. She said that the will of the people must always be taken into account, and so she hopes that the Government will make a decision and find a way to once again ask the people.
