Neither Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite nor Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius have received an invitation to the World Economic Forum in Davos

The World Economic Forum is a prestigious event for discussing the most pressing global political and economic issues. Therefore, to participate in it is a great honor for each top-ranking state official. Former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus attended in 2001, 2008 and 2009. This year at the forum, European Commisssion Member from Lithuania Algirdas Šemeta will speak on experience fighting against tax evasion.
