First Baltic channel of Lithuania suspended for three months

Today, the Vilnius Regional Administrative Court decided to suspend retransmission of programs of the First Baltic Channel of Lithuania. The decision is final.

The Radio and Television Commission had brought its findings before the court over the program "Man and the Law” for material offensive to the civic pride of Lithuanian citizens, which was included in a show covering the January Events of 1991.

The court ruled that the Radio and Television Commission findings complied with the Public Information Act and granted the application for the three-month suspension.
